A specialist Scottish creative technology company that helps develop the internet strategy for Europe’s largest independent motor dealer, Arnold Clark, has designed an innovative mobile application that will allow customers to search and price new and used cars from their mobile phones.
Arnold Clark has chosen to launch the service as a multi-platform mobile web application rather than one solely targeting the iPhone market. The aim is to provide universal access to all smart phone users and not only those using the Apple device. The new application is expected to significantly boost website hits and in turn drive showroom traffic and sales.
The company behind the mobile application, Glasgow-based creative technology company Wildfire, was initially commissioned in 2006 to provide an online solution that would drive Arnold Clark’s internet strategy. The successful implementation of Wildfire’s user-friendly technology platform, ‘Spark’, led to them becoming Arnold Clark’s sole internet technology partner.

the development of our business. Wildfire provides digital consultancy services and specialise in the development of new online technologies, including websites, social networks, desktop and mobile-based applications and platforms for all types of businesses. Clients and partners range from creative design agencies and fast-growing professional firms and entrepreneurs to major corporates, public and third sector organisations. The company is on target to generate turnover of £500k within the next two years.
